Meet The Owner
Alyssa Melody is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, with over 13 years of clinical experience. She has worked in both private practice and community acupuncture settings.
She founded Root + Bones, a wellness brand focused on tonic herbs, medicinal mushrooms, TCM based skincare, and long-term health support. After stepping away from clinical practice for a period to grow the business and raise her two children, she returned to acupuncture with a renewed focus on accessibility and consistency of care.
Yin Rituals was created to bridge the gap between traditional clinical practice and real-life sustainability.
Her approach to acupuncture is practical, grounded, and deeply informed by classical Chinese medicine. She believes healthcare should be accessible, calm, and integrated into daily life rather than reserved for moments of crisis.
Things To Know
-
Sessions at Yin Rituals are centered on acupuncture care. Due to the structure and timing of community acupuncture, visits do not include herbal consultations, custom prescriptions, or extended lifestyle counseling.
General questions are always welcome, though in-depth consultations are best suited for a different care setting.
-
Community acupuncture is designed to make regular treatment more attainable by offering care in a shared setting.
While pricing varies, private one-on-one acupuncture sessions today often range around $150 or more. The community model offers a lower per-session rate while still providing attentive, skilled care.
-
Treatments take place in a quiet, shared room, allowing multiple patients to receive care at the same time.
Many people find the shared space calming and supportive. If you are seeking a private room or extended consultation, a traditional private practice may be a better fit.
-
Acupuncture is most effective when received regularly. Community acupuncture is designed to support ongoing care rather than occasional visits.
-
We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial Acupuncture uses very thin, sterile, single-use needles placed at specific points on the body. Most people experience little to no discomfort during insertion.
Sensations can include warmth, heaviness, tingling, or a gentle dull ache. These are normal and typically settle quickly as the body relaxes.
Once the needles are in place, many people feel deeply calm or sleepy. You are always able to ask for adjustments or have a needle removed at any time., we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.
